About Us

 The Special Needs Collaborative was formed in January 2024 with a shared vision: to enhance the lives of individuals with special needs in our community. Our first meeting, held in Mercer County, WV, brought together a dedicated team comprised of parents and family members of children and adults with disabilities, alongside representatives from local organizations serving the special needs population. Recognizing the critical need for stronger connections among families and service providers, the Collaborative was born from a mutual understanding that working together is essential to creating a more supportive and inclusive environment.  This core team is joined by countless volunteers who generously give their time, skills, and passion. It is through the combined efforts of this dedicated network that we are able to make a meaningful difference.
